How do you really tell?

Im new here. I just wanted to introduce myself. Im 19, in college. And i have only recently TTC. I have some symptoms, but i cant really tell. I've just taken a P test, and it came out negative. But i think i might have been too soon to take a test. My last period was the start of this month, and i was supposed to get it at the end of August, but it came late, and I had unusual bleeding. Does anyone have any advice???

It is so hard to tell at such an early stage but for some people it is just a gut feeling and they know. Did you test with an early response test or just a reg. one that you are supposed to do after your missed period? That could make the difference but you may even be too early to use a first response. They only work for a percentage of people as early as 5 days before your missed period.

To Baby U!

Here's a list of early pregnancy symptoms - http://www.babyuniversity.com/content/view/447/43/

Here's a pregnancy planner - http://www.babyuniversity.com/compon...er/Itemid,101/

I have found both of these to be very useful both times I've been TTC. Good luck!

the above site will give you more info on the reliability of pregnancy tests. First, I have to say if you are buying anything but the dollar store ones, you are wasting your money.

If you are not charting your bbt, there is no way to know when you ovulated. Your period should come at roughly two weeks after ovulation, but ovulation can be delayed because of stress, diet, and other changes.

hang in there. test in another week if you don't have your period. You can be sure that a positive is a positive. Most faults with tests are false negatives, not false positives, unless you are having some hormone treatments.
