do you buy for your toddler? Do you buy shoes like New Balance...Nike...stride rite or do you buy something cheap from Wal-mart?

I have all sorts of cutesy lil ones for Lauren.... some from Wally World, Target, but mainly Gymboree. (LOVE 'em!) I finally got serious and had her fitted at Stride Rite. Well, My lil stinker will be a Stride Rite Baby for a while.... with her 5 EXTRA WIDE feet!

Usually Walmart or Payless.

The girls always have tennis shoes that are name brand like Nike or Skechers or something. A lot of Cori's are Steve Maddens (a lot of sandals) and Hailey has a lot of Esprit. I still get Maci Stride Rite sometimes. I only get Gymbo shoes if I just LOVE them. They tend to wear out faster than the others for my girls. And of course, they have their share of Wal Mart, Payless and Target shoes, too. Target tends to have cute ones a lot.

WHERE EVER THEY ARE CUTE PRICE HAS A BIG FACTER

I was buying from Payless, until I saw that when Nike's are on sale, they are the same price. Payless sneakers are like $16 now.

Nicks last pair were Stride Rite. Yesterday he saw some Thomas the train shoes he liked at Walmart so I let him have them. I am not a fan of cheap shoes, but I want Nick to have what he wants. Christian and Devon have Stride Rite shoes(and have Target shoes for play shoes). Michael, my picky boy, chose Tommy Hilfiger(Target shoes for play).

Trey wears "AuntKathy's" and loves them...

Mostly he wears his Fleet Farm Red rubber boots everywear.

I let Lys wear whatever se wants - but mailnly we have walmart - target type shoes. when her feet dont grow as fast I may get her the more expensive shoes. Her ballet & tap shoes Tap me out.

Gosh, when they are small I (now) see no point in buying very expensive shoes since their feet grow so dern fast. Payton has mostly Gymboree and Target shoes. Oh and Kimmer, Walmart carrys wide width now, my bMom informed me of that and saved me a lot of money with Emily and Payton. With the boys I always had them fitted at Stride Rite and it cost me an arm and a leg! I recently bought Payton some really cute fuschia mary jane style suede tennis shoes from WM and what is pretty kewl is the bottoms of the sole have a clear area so you can see when their toes are to the top therefore getting too small I thought that was pretty neat. And I think that I only pd $10 for them.
Ya know what-I am a liar I just looked and Payton has Keds and Sketchers too. Okay, so I buy a lil of everything if they are cute. I am not biased to cuteness.

Sweet! I just hope her feet thin out a bit!

Kate and Lauren wear exactly the same size shoe. I told y'all she was small. I hope her feet thin out too. There's so many cute shoes we have to pass up because of her wide feet, but wide feet run on both sides of her family, so she may be stucj with them.

I have been lucky, if good shoes are not given to us Jake gets them for his b-day, I just bought a pair for him at wally world. We'll see how that goes.

Zach has always been a Robeez boy. He has a bunch of those. I bought him the fleece Robeez boots for winter (daycare inside of course). He had his first two pairs of real shoes from Stride Rite (two pair of sandals). I just bought him a pair of Converse high tops and Nike sneaks. I alos found him a cute pair of Carter's light up velcro sneakers at Marshall's. I never thought I'g go for those but they are soooo cute and he loves them. I like to rotate his sneaks b/c his feet get so sweaty. So I switchback and forth. Actually I think yesterday was his last day for the cons. I think he grew out of them. they are tighter than other brands. His "good" shoes are all Stride Rite (like the leather boots he has).

I love reading these threads and seeing what everybody gets their kids.
The boys wear Nike and Hilfiger tennis shoes and we just got Mulberribush hiking boots, so we'll see how those work out. With Olivia, it's all about cute and matching her clothes, she's got Target, Gymbo, Ralph Lauren tennis, Mulberribush clogs (I love these!). Too many shoes for her, I'm afraid.

Since the kids seem to grow out of the shoes as fast as I buy them I refuse to spend too much. Mostly they wear Target/Walmart shoes. I tend to like Targets shoes better. Right before we left both girls got some cute leather Mary Jane type of shoes and some t-shoes and Gavin got some new T-shoes and sandals from there.

We just recently bought Taylah a pair of new converse. She has been getting nike shoes since she was about 1 so we wanted a little bit of a change. She does have payless, Kmart and Target shoes too.

When Ryan was a baby and toddler - I used Stride Rite because I wanted the good support for his feet, myth or not - it wasnt until recently that we just go to wherever and get the shoes - the cutest ones normally or whatever he picks out- would could be generic or something good -
