Halloween movies for kids??

I'm thinking about letting the kids have a small Halloween party the weekend before. The kids will range from 3 - 9, and I'm thinking we'll eventually calm them down with a Halloween movie. Any suggestions??? NOTHING comes to mind! I tried to search Blockbuster online and came up with something from Spongebob, but it seems like I'm missing out on a really good flick that would be perfect!

Can anyone think of some fun Halloween type games? I don't really want to go with the Fear Factor thing again because this is just going to be a small party. Probably 1 friend each, that way I don't have to entertain a bunch of adults

I wonder if there's a DVD of the old Disney cartoons? You know, the ones they showed when the Disney channel was actually a good channel to watch? There's always Pooh's Heffalump Halloween movie, too

Good ideas ladies! Thanks! They're all sitting here watching Sharkboy and Lava Girl right now, and doing relatively well, so I may be brave enough to try again for Halloween!

How about something like This?

My dd loves skeletons so she loved Corpse Bride and Nightmare Before Christmas. I don't know if those would scare younger children or not. There's Elmo Says Boo for the little ones. Here's a list of kid friendly Halloween movies - http://www.prnewswire.com/cgi-bin/st...2259927&EDATE=

Here's a list of Halloween games from Family Fun Magazine - http://familyfun.commerce.atomz.com/...alloween+games

This is a great magazine. I have several of the books in addition to a subscription to the magazine. It is so worth it!

Hocus Pocus is good and so is The Worst Witch (Haley loves the worst witch) but if you are going for something to please the 3 - 5 year olds too I would go with something like Casper or The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown movie.

More great ideas! Thanks Lenora and Elaine! Casper did cross my mind the other day ... maybe I could do that and the Great Pumpkin? This is going to be fun!

I saw Casper and Wendy in the 5.00 bin at Walmart recently so you may wanna check to see if it is still on sale. If it was just kids Jessi's age, I'd recommend my all time favorite--the Goonies. Of course I don't need an excuse to watch that movie

I love the Great pumpkin.

Becca~ I remember when there was a Disney movie on every Sunday at 7 (ABC). They were such GREAT movies. My favorite was some Boogity Boogity Boo movie that was on every halloween. I was so hoping when they restarted showing the Disney movies on Sunday that they'd play it again but they didn't show the movies long at before they took them off.
