16 weeks and pain already.... or still I should say

Since about 12 weeks or so, I had this pain that started in the joint where my thigh bone met my pelvic bone. I thought I had pulled something. It started getting worse where it radiates around my hip to my tail bone. When I had my doctor appointment I asked about it and he told me it was either due to the scaring from the previous c-sections or that the baby is on my scaitic (sp?) nerve and that it isn't going to get better until after the baby comes. Well it really sucks. After sitting for a while, the pain gets worse and I limp when I get up.

Now there is pain in my actual pubic bone. Everytime I get up it feels like there is so much pressure there that it throbs.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

I had the horrible pain in my pubic bone... it was worse when walking up stairs or trying to roll over in bed. The doctor said it was from premature separating and softening of the ligaments in the pubic bone usually due to pregnancy hormones. Pubic Symphasis Diastasis or something like that. It is fairly common but painful and there is almost nothing that can be done about it.

Oh yes I had scaitic problems. I had to sit in a regluar chair at work not a computer chair to give me comfort. Sorry there is nothing really to take it away either. Hope it subsides.

If it is your sciatic nerve, there is not a darn thing that can be done. I had really bad problems with this during my pregnancy with Ally (and still do sometimes). Sometimes changing positions, walking a bit (walking it out), or using a back pillow when you sit will help alleviate the pain. Ask your doctor if you can, but mine let me take Tylenol or something when the pain got really bad. At one point it landed me in the hospital and they gave me pain killers. If it gets too bad, I'm sure there is something they can give you to help. I wish I could remember what they told me to take. The good news is that it usually goes completely away after the baby is born.
