Kill me now, the holidays are gonna suck...

I just got a letter in the mail (yes, that's how my psycho FIL communicates with us most of the time--that way he doesn't have to talk to me when I answer the phone. ) that is demanding our presence for Thanksgiving. Not ASKING. Well, I knew this would happen, so I made plans with my parents a month ago.

We reconciled (completely against my wishes) after Billy's grandpa killed himself and I just have no interest in spending time with that PITA. I mean, I'm ok with, "ok, we'll make small talk when necessary, but I don't want to hang out." And to think Christmas is soon to follow....

Why don't you send him a letter back that says something nice and subtle like
BITE ME!!!! I cannot stand people who demand stuff and treat adults like they are children.

That sucks .. I can completely understand. Only I get the letter two hours before I'm supposed to be there and it is 3 hours away!!

I would take that as a good reason to not show up!

If you're feeling generous, y'all can get together and watch some football together after Black Friday. If you're feeling generous...

If it wasn't such a terrible expierence I wish you would go for entertainment for us.

What did Billy say when he saw the letter?

Oh please Jan, he refuses to read them. He just says, "give me the run down" Like if he refuses to read them, they don't exist. I'm sure we'll have to make some kind of appearance anyway....

Give me the run down... That is good.

YOu dont have to make an appearance I mean what are they going to do if you dont? Show up on your door step?

At least this way we get the juicy details.

Did you have pics from the wedding? Did that happen yet?

No, the wedding is in a week and a half. I had to go to the bridal shower last Saturday. Lord that girl is a BRICK....

Yikes, he demands, Dana I knew you were still a teen and you need direction in your life. NOT! Married have a life. What I do is call and say No and hang up and see if he pictures what the No is for.

I dare ya to send him back a letter that says you're not able to attend his "command performance" Thanksgiving this year because you made plans the day before you received his letter, and if only he had picked up the phone, he might have been put into your schedule.

Good Luck Dana! I know you will find a way to make it exciting!
