How do you handle kids meltdowns?

I make them go to their room till they calm down.

Depends where we are.
For the most part, sitting down and talking to Kyler usually works well.

Depends on the reason for the meltdown. Usually there is a good reason for meltdowns...tired, hungry, thirsty, overstimulated etc. I try to fix the problem, then ask for them to calm down. If that doesn't help I ignore it. Sometimes giving it attention makes it worse.

If we are at home, I walk away. If we are in public, I ignore them.
