If you have lost weight but still have some to go do you

Buy new clothes cos all of your old ones look really bulky bc you are having to do your belt up an extra 4-5 notches to stop them falling down, or do you wait until you have lost the other 15-20 pounds or so you need to lose to get down to what the charts say is a healthy weight range for you.

I've lost probably 2 dress sizes (around 15 or so pds) but now I've started going to aqua aerobics I hope to lose at least one more dress size bc now I have found an exercise I can actually do I'm hoping to tighten up the loose skin and my thigh and butt muscles, but I also don't won't to waste money on clothes that are (hopefully, fingers crossed) not going to fit me for more than a few months.

So would you stay with what you have or waste money on clothes that won't fit for very long - altho I'm going to buy a couple of sun frocks bc the ones I have literally fall off my shoulders and look terrible - and Ahab the Arab, you know "the sheik of the burning sands" - keeps ringing up and wanting his tents back

You are doing great Maree!! WTG!!
I went ahead and bought new clothes bcuz I have been stuck where I am for about 6mo now. But I haven't really been trying that hard either!LOL! But I haven't bought a whole lot. Just some jeans and a couple of tops. I really don't have enough clothes to make an entire week without wearing something twice so I really should buy some more but 1. I don't have the funds and 2. I wanna lose this last few pnds.
I would invest in a least a few things that you feel good in when you go out. For me it was motivational-I bought several prs of jeans before I actually got to this weight and it helped me to shed a few extra pnds to get them too look goooooood on.

I get stuck too Karen, I do everything the same, I still eat the right kind of diet and try and get some exercise and I will be stuck at the same weight for months, I didn't even realise I'd lost weight until a co-worker said something, I gave up weighing myself about 18 months ago bc I got sick of seeing 92 K every single time. So when I finally did weigh myself I had lost 7 k (15 pds)

I am eating a bit better and spring is here so with the warmer weather I both lose my appetite and eat a lot of salad and fruit as I can't stomach the thought of eating anything else but a lot of it has been bc of my hips I think esp now I use a stick, bc A: I can actually move again and B: it takes so much effort to do every single little thing now that I am burning more calories

But thanks, I really wanted someone to tell me I needed a new pair of jeans what's the use of having a cute little butt unless you can show it off Well it's not that little but I'm working on it

Exactly! Got to show off that smaller bootie!

I bought 2 pairs of jeans and that was it when I lost my weight. I didn't want to have too many fat clothes

Way to go Maree! I'd buy a few new things so you can "feel" thinner. I was determined not to buy anything new, but then I felt so dumpy in my old clothes that I lost my motivation. So I just bought a few things ... maybe 2 pairs of jeans, a couple of pairs of shorts. Shirts aren't that big a deal because you can still wear them big. I have SO many different sizes of clothes it isn't even funny:

I'm with Dawn... I have a wardrobe (or at least a partial one) in sizes from 6 all the way up to 12/14. I was about to get rid of all my things size 10 and bigger before I got pregnant but now I think I'll need them next year while I make my way back down.
I always buy a few pieces in my new size because I'm more motivated to keep things up if I start feeling good about myself.

I went out and bought one new pair of jeans and a couple cute tops to wear when I went out to the store or out with friends and would only wear the loose fitting clothes at home

Made me feel better and it is such a rush to wear the new sizes and have people comment on how good you look

Way to go Maree

I still would like to lose about 10-15 too right now its not on my mind as much with everything else going on but I plan on losing those extra pounds after the New year.

It will help when I can go back to the gym I haven't been back for about 2 months now, the first month was I was sick then my MIL died and with everything going on right now the move etc I honestly don't have time everytime I think I can go for an hour either hubby or FIL call and need me to do something, I give it 2 more weeks then I don't care I am going back to my yoga classes 2 times a week!

I just wouldn't buy a whole new wardrobe, but I would purchase a couple things. Keeps you more motivated.

I was going to wait and not buy anything new and try to fit until all my old pre-pregnancy jeans, but yesterday ran to Old Navy for 1 pair in hopes they fall off me shortly ...

Please excuse the Black Knight He is a male and as it has been a very warm spring his eyes have been sprung quite a lot driving a truck around

The short shorts are jeans I attacked years ago when I was in a silly mood and they really are short, short, short, shorts I mean my butt hangs out of them. (it was about 8 years ago and I was foolish )

The 'cougar' shirt is from an ad on TV, the girl behind the bar is wearing a skin tight tshirt type boob tube with spagetti straps and is facing away from the bar, the man is in line reciting the 5 different drinks he is supposed to order so he won't forget them.

He comes up to the bar, she turns around and the boob tube has "Cougar bourbon" written on the front, needless to say the guy asks for "5 Cougars please" and leaves with a big, silly, happy grin.

Des saw one in a shop and bought it for me

I will let him take a photo of me in the top with my US size 10 jeans but the shorts will never see the light of day again

Sorry Darlin' but life is full of these little disappointments
