Last email I sent to MIL ...

Ok .. I'll run it by Stan too. The Saturday before Thanksgiving is my birthday, so I'm sure we'll be doing something else then too.
So I get this one today ...

I guess that pretty much takes care of Thanksgiving then. We could have it after, but I don't have my shedule yet. If ya'll want to get with L***** and find out, that would be good. I should have my new shedule Monday or Tuesday. If not maybe we can shoot for Christmas. Mom

I don't know. I tried to get a straight answer from Stan, but he won't give me one. He will be missing Thanksgiving with my family too. He took Friday and Saturday off for my birthday and the HP movie. But it has become a huge fight and I personally don't even wanna celebrate my birthday with him anymore. He doesn't know when he'll be off the week of Thanksgiving yet, so I'm sure he could get off whenever he needs to.
I'm sure I'll get a smarta$$ response .. or she'll run and call Stan .. but I don't care at this point!!!

Good grief. It's not even Thanksgiving Day we're talking about. Who (besides your inlaws) wants to have Thanksgiving so far before Thanksgiving if they have a choice?

I think by now I would have just said forget it - Here's what I am doing and be done.

Good luck getting it all figured out.

All this is causing a fight between you and Stan that is not good, just forget and spend Thansgiving with your family there. Stan and the kids. That would be it for me.

I have my plans .. Thanksgiving day with my family at home around noon (Stan has to work at 3pm). Then to my Mother's at 4:30.

But as for my in-laws .. I have no idea and couldn't care less.

You know, it's not your responsibility to make everyone happy. It's a hard lesson to learn, trust me, I have been there and spent many hours in therapy learning that I don't have to please everyone. I think you have the right idea, make your plans, and let the inlawas make theirs. If their plans fit into your schedule, that's great, otherwise, too d@mn bad!
