My in-laws have okay names but nothing I wanted to use. We used our names and our grandfathers names though.

We named them after family but not our parents..well Zachary could qualify since Johnny is a Jr. We gave Zachary DH's middle name. Bailey has no family name. Emily has my name as her middle, Payton has two middle names after great grandmothers: Olivia for Olive and Rose after my great grandmother her great-great grandmother

All my kids' middle names come from someone in my family. My daughter's middle name is my husband and grandma's middle name, but it's spelled differently. Theirs is Lee, hers is Leigh.

William's middle name is my maiden name, so I guess I could say he's named after my family. Henry's middle name is the same as my dad's middle name, which the name he goes by because his real name is Carl

We are considering using family names for middle names but not our parents. We like Mike's grandmother's name, Beatrice, for a middle name. We will use Mike's name for a boy's middle name.

No - I want my children to be unique and not linked to a current or deceesed family member.

Darien has my FIL's name (Brian) as his middle name and Jonas has my fathers name (Vernon) as his middle name. Leah has Richard's sisters name (Sheri) as her middle name. Leah was born three days shy of one year after my SIL died.

Angela is after my half sister.

Brandon James ... James is my dad's middle name. Plus it turns out that I have a cousin named Brandon.

Caitlyn has my middle name of Nicole.

Kieran is his own person.

Nope - blacklisted the male names IMMEDIATELY! My Dad was Novie and FIL was Irving
I already have a 1/2 bro named Novie, anyway.

My SIL used her mom's name for her daughter. ( Brigitte )

The closest we came was planning to vary my Mom's middle name - Jeanette - if Jared had been a girl, the name was to be Victoria Janette.

I used family names as middle names, Greg after my Grandfather (James), Rick after Des' dad (George - sorry son) and TK after my father (Kenneth - but it could have been worse, I could have used my Dad's real name instead of the middle name he has always been known by )

My mom's name is Louise and my dad's name was Harry, so no, I don't think I would use their names.
My MIL's middle name is Ann, I would use that. FIL's name is Gene, so no!
I would use other family names, though, if I had the opportunity.
My grandmother's name was Laura, and I would use that.
Great-grandmother's maiden name is Trentham and I would use it--Trent for short.
Kyle's grandmother's middle name was Lee, and that's okay.

Nope!
Not from either side. My MIL wanted us to name Anthony after Jay's deceased stepdad-Avin. But Jay said no way to her. Thank God. Kaitlyn has the same middle name as me, my Mom, my Grandma, and my Great-Grandma (tradition). And Anthony is DH's name switched Anthony Jason.
