Forget the cat, how do I keep Justin out of the tree?

He is constantly pulling the ornaments off and breaking the glass ones. Nothing I do keeps him away from it.

I'm laughing WITH you! For several years, we had to finagle a baby gate around the tree to keep the boys out. One year, we only decorated the top 1/2 -- out of their reach. And then there was the year that we simply bought a smaller tree and put it on top of the entertainment center.

That's why I went to plastic balls this year. I was tired of Jonathan trying to bounce the glass ones. DH just HAD to have some last year, and we lost half of them to our little basketball wanna-be. So, I got plastic ones last year after Christmas at Dollar Tree and used them this year. Sure enough... the first thing he did when he came home and saw the tree was to take all the balls off and start rolling them down the hall. I just gave him a couple that he could play with (the hanger tops had come off of them, and they just looked like plastic balls) and he's stayed away from the rest.

....Now if I could keep him out from UNDER the tree....

When Elizabeth was 1 and 2...the tree started out decorated all over, but within a week ornaments hung only on the top half. I had to keep moving them.

this year she likes to rearrange them

I was just talking to Dan last night about how we are going to keep Delaney away from the tree. She's a handful!!

Glad I am not alone in this. I guess I will just take a picture of what the tree started out looking like and what it will look like by Christmas!

We just put non breakable ornaments where Payton can reach and the breakables up top. Good luck!
