It was a collective gift from the SIL and her family.

They got us a collander full of JALAPENO HOT Sauces and Pastas!

Now, DH and I don't mind spices, but we CANNOT do HOT JALAPENO style stuff.

And the dumb thing THEY KNEW CHRIS COULDN'T stand it and got it anyway.

MIL Purfume - it makes me gag.
Mom She had a knack for getting me some UGLY shirts and clothes growing up.
SIL & BIL Never really gor anything bad. Normally get gift certificates.
Siste don't have one
Brother Nothing really stands out to me. We were all pretty in tune with waht each other wanted/wants.

NOW DH OF COURSE
One of the first years we were dating he got me a calvin and hobbs book of cartoons and a star wars shirt, then there was the year he got me an oil change for my car

and nothing tops the year he got me the BIG SCREEN TV AND SURROUND SOUND. cause he knew I wanted it

An oil change? Kevin definitely wins!

I guess I have been lucky - can't think of any really bad gifts from anyone.

Mom: My mom is the world's worst about getting me things that don't fit and that she knows will not fit. She always buys things for me that are way too small, and I can't return them because there is never a receipt and she always buys them on clearance so even if I could return them, I would get all of $10 for three or four items. No joke. She does this to my sister, too. She has also in years past given my BIL $50 in IHOP gift cards and crazy stuff like that.

MIL: I can't think of anything too off the wall she's given me, so that's a good thing. Even during the years she disliked me, she always tried to buy me things I liked or needed.

Sister: She never misses. I always get great gifts from her.

BIL: He usually gives DH and me gift cards for Red Lobster or Longhorn, so that's not bad at all. One year he did give me some Bath and Body stuff in a Lavendar or Lilac fragrance that I did not like at all. It didn't smell good and I don't know how anyone would think so. I think that was on purpose.

Everyone else--DH and friends usually do pretty well.

MIL - She's never given me a bad gift. She's considerate that way.

Mother - do you want the whole list or just the top 10?

Father - Bad checks. I really needed the money when he gave me some checks written on a closed account.

Stepmother - Gave me clothes several sizes too large. I mean I wore a 7 (oh that was the day!) and she gave me stuff in size 18+. Yeah, that was intentional. She hated me and I didn't have much use for her after that either.

Sister - Victorian stuff. She always gives me Victorian stuff. I hate, loathe, despise and generally really don't like Victorian stuff.

Brother - don't have a brother

BIL/SIL - The towel angels. They looked like the grim reaper in Christmas wear.

MIL .. ANYTHING she gives me besides money is terrible. Designer socks one year, Floor mats for my car another and perfume that was "natural" and was made from freshly cut grass

Mom .. She always gives great gifts!!


SIL & BIL ... Stan's sister gave us a joint gift last year .. a magazine rack, they left the $1 price on it

Siste .. They always give great gifts too .. except last year on my birthday, Sarah was supposed to bring the cake and she brought cheesecake .. I HATE cheesecake and she told everybody that it was my favorite

Brother.. I have never received a gift from either of my brothers

EX MIL- Jogging suit to small for me
Mom - Always aimming to please, love the gifts she gets us.
Dad & Step Mom - We had one year were they hardly got us anything but that is because they were adjusting to being retired. They do pretty well.
Corie- Always gets me great gifts
Sister- when alive gave me neat necklaces
Step brother and sister- we do not really exchange.
Jimmy when married-usually got me what I wanted.

MIL she tries hard but ya she'll buy the kids stuffed animals (i really hate that) i think she got the hint cause i never putr them out

MIL- a jar opener, (not a can opener, that would have been ok) that's what I have muscles for!! And talk about stuffed animals, they love beanie babies and let the kids pick out a few every frickin Sunday!!! I need to start selling them on e-bay!!
Mom- bad clothes when I was younger, but she got better once I got into high school. She does really well.
SIL & BIL-they do pretty good- but we don't buy for each other anymore.
Sister- well which one? HEHE they all know me pretty well so they do good.
Brother- which one? ok my brother Bob, one year I got this bracelet made out of pennies!! Another year it was a sock piggy bank, with a bear face on top, you put the coins in the mouth, It was weird. He is a strange one so I am sure there are more. He does mean well though.

MIL - Lets see, 3 months after I was diagnosed with diabetes she gave me a lovely cake tin (I really like it) but it was full of home made chocolates - how appropriate. Or the year she gave me the ugliest clock ornament you have ever seen, such a shame, I forgot to pack it when we left NZ

Mom - Maybe the year she gave me a music doll, a colouring book and some colouring pencils (I was 3 months off being 17 )

SIL & BIL - I have never received a gift from a BIL or a SIL

Sister: I don't have one

Brother: elder of the two liked to give me books on how to improve my finances, you know the sort of ones, just invest $10,000 in this way and you will be on your way to riches, but they don't tell you how to get the $10,000

Younger of the two: How about the year he gave the whole family his old junk for xmas I got an old bottle. He did wrap them nicely tho
