Do your kids do this....

Is it normal for the toddlers to have fits about not wanting to go to school in the morning? Is it just cos they are tired and want to stay in bed? Brandon pulled "school is yucky" this morning, though I hear no complaints any other time and he always goes in to class happy and I pick him up happy. Just wondered....

I did ask the Director if anything was going on and she said no, other than the normal Holiday hoopla.

My mom drops my son off twice a week and she said every morning there's atleast one kid that doesn't want to enter the building LOL. The main teacher exits the building clapping her hands picks the child up and basically throws him/her over her shoulder and carries the kid into the building crying LOL. Ahhh school never hurt anyone LOL!

If I had never seen her do this or wasn't aware of all they deal with at the toddler level I would say she has lost her mind. However, on the other hand I love that she takes the time to attempt to get the child in the door.

Kyler doesn't do it for school anymore. However, after school he goes to the babysitters for a few hours. He does it then.
Same thing... once he's there he's fine. AND when I try to pick him up he doesn't want to leave.

I think it's normal. JMO

Mine both did it every now and then. I think they are really just afraid to miss something at home.

Heck, I didn't want to go to school pretty much from about 2nd grade through college!

Every once in a while, Joey tries it, but I tell him he can't stay home sick unless he's really sick, and if he's not, he gets extra chores and homework from me to make up for what he's going to miss. That usually gets him out of bed.
