I have a regular period? I bled for 5 weeks after Alyssa was born but I haven't had regular AF yet...

I can't start birth control til AF shows up!!

Are you breastfeeding? It took me a long while, can't remember exactly how long after Justin but it was several months.

I honestly couldn't tell you... I breast fed both of mine and never had a period during that time. It was only a month after I stopped completely that she came back though.

I bled for two weeks with Jonathan. When I went for my 6 week checkup, my doctor told me to go ahead and start my BCP's that Sunday and it should bring on AF. But I started that Sunday, anyhow, so it worked out perfectly.

I breastfed both boys, and I think I got my period back when they were around 3 month old. If you breastfeed it might take until you stop completely. I don't know how it goes if you don't. Just hope you aren't pg again

Yep, if you're nursing you may not get it back for awhile. There are bc that you can start before having a period, just talk to your doctor about what you can take.

Eva, BITE YOUR TOUNGE!!!! If I am PG again...I can't even THINK about it!

I still haven't started. Lisa, I'm going to do the birth control patch and the DR said put it on the sunday after AF.

Dh can't stand condoms, so you see my problem!

I know i had a birth control pill I could take while nursing. maybe you can do that for one month to bring AF on.

I was given the shot the day after Nicole was born, and AF didn't go away for 5 months!

Hope she shows up soon for you!

I breastfed my dd, so I didn't have a period for 8 months and I didn't have them regularily until I stopped completely.

Still no AF.

Honey, it can take a while. It's just dependent on your body chemistry. Many people who breastfeed have taken quite a while to get AF back. Me, on the other hand, I got AF back 6 WEEKS TO THE DAY Lauren was born. SOOOOOOO NOT FAIR!!

I hope she shows up soon!

Did you test? Is there a possibility?

I just wanted to add that I hate getting a period and this last one lasted 13 days!
