what age...

is considered toddler? Some people say 18 months, others say 2 or 3, I am confused. Hayley is almost 15 months and still my bubba. I have a feeling I will still be calling her "bubba" when she goes to school.

I'm not sure "technically"...
however... I would say toddler is from when they start walking (toddling)... up until they are feeling more "independant". Depending on the child, between 2-3.

ha! I guess you could say that I just don't know.

I know with Kyler - he was a toddler... then one day I looked at him and said "OMG - he's a preschooler. He's not a toddler anymore".

Hmmm... I think toddler starts anywhere between 12 and 15 months and ends around 2 1/2. I don't know if there is a set definition.

I definitely think of preschoolers as 3's and 4's but there is that group of older 2's who don't quite fit anywhere.

its funny coz I know babies that are the same age, if not a little bit younger who look more like toddlers, they have their hair in pig-tails and some of them can actually colour in and scribble. Hayley still has really fine baby hair and still chews on pencils.

I think you're right, Elaine. My did is doing so much more than she did when she was younger, but she's not quite a preschooler yet either. She definitely stopped being a baby at about a year though. Now, she even looks like a girl instead of a baby.

Nicole's 18 months... I've only recently started considering her a toddler rather than a baby, I think maybe because she's started talking more I've realized she's growing up.

i don't know, i think the around 18 months sounds right for toddler, but i really dont' see Logan as a preschooler yet, and he is almost three.

it is probably cuz he isn't going to go to preschool until he is at least 4 probably five, early birthday and all. Toddler is such a fun stage that i want it to last as long as possible
