The leg cramps have started

None so bad that I couldn't stretch out and fix them without getting out of bed yet but I know the bad ones are coming. I haven't made it through one pregnancy without cramping in my legs so bad that I would have to get out of bed and hobble around the room to help ease them.
I always heard that getting more potassium is suposed to help but I eat tons of bananas and still deal with them.
Anyone heard of something else that is suposed to help?

Ugh. I had some with Ryan and with Aidan and there is nothing more painful than laying in bed when one happens and not even able to rub it or stretch your calf or anything.

All I know is more potassium as well... and before I would go to bed I would rub them just to 'warm' them up and stretch a bit ... Dont know if it helped, but it didnt make it worse

I've not had leg cramps from pregnancy, but I have had them pretty badly from time to time. Then it was a calicum imbalance. What are your feelings about spinach, broccoli and the dark green and leafys? I hope this clears up for you soon.

I'm a green veggie fan so that isn't a big problem for me although that is the second time with a second symptom that someone has mentioned calcium issues to me during this pregnancy. I may have to look into that.

It's probably not the same, but when I was on my college rowing team and working out 4+ hours a day, I had a lot of problems with muscle cramps and that's what Coach told me.

Ugh!! I feel for you!!
The first one I had with Kyler I thought "this has GOT to be worse than labor"
I had 3 with Kyler. And 2 with Delaney. They were the worst things EVERY!!!

The only thing I heard was eating more banana's.
I would ask your dr. Maybe they know some sort of trick to help.

I used to get really bad leg cramps when I was pregnant, and I have a trick that might help you.

When the cramp starts, flex your foot up (so your toes are pointing toward your head) for about a minute. It will stretch the muscle out, and the cramp will stop. I don't remember where I read that tip, but it always worked for me.
