Uh, Gee, Your Welcome... It think?

I just finished talking to my mom on the phone and asked her if she liked her christmas gifts and she said "um, yep they were fine". So I said you didnt like them and she said "i would have liked clothes." Ok first of all I only spent like $45.00 on each of our parents plus I had to buy for Rich, he bought for me and then the kids. So we werent loaded with money, with him having a layoff week and not getting one weeks pay.
Now I feel bad. I got her a watch, really pretty makeup bags, a Calgon gift set, cute fleece socks and her yearly Thomas Kinkade calender. And actually her stuff came to over $45.00. So I am just kind of annoyed about it. Nothing I can do about it now!

I agree with Dawn and Shayla. First of all, those sound like great gifts to me, and even if it wasn't exactly what she had in mind, she should not have said so.

That is what I was thinking to Tammy, she really didnt have to tell me She was kind of miserable last night anyway, but still. Oh yeah and I got her a makeup case with all her colors in it. I know she liked that because she said it christmas day.

I really hate when people cant just keep there mouths shut if you dont like something. Makes the giver feel like crap you know.

Jenn I think they were fabulous gifts and they had extreme thought put into them. I would have been gracious.

Jenn that is awful of your mom. I would of loved the things, if they were mine. Parents! Sometimes they say the darnest things, and we thought kids only did that. WRONG! parents too.
