Thinking about buying DS a...

digital camera... now before anyone thinks I am nuts ... not a new one - but maybe an older new one - off ebay?

He is always running around with MY digital camera, which is only 1 year old - but isn't exactly something I want him to break...

He actually takes really good pictures too -since he enjoys it, I was thinking of getting an old one he can play with?

What do you think? Do you think 4 years old is too young?

Well I do think it is a little crazy but my best friend just spent $60 buying her 2 year old a digital camera. Seems she was constantly wanting to take pics with her mom's camera and Stacy had to follow her around constantly making sure she didn't do anything to it while she was taking pictures.

You ARE nuts!! haha.
Kyler loves running around with mine too. But Dan would flip his lid if I told him I wanted to get him a camera!!

If you are serious - I've seen some really really cheap ones - for like $25. REAL low quality. But, I'm assuming you are doing it just for him to play around - right?

If he likes it and is good at it, go for it. The good thing about digital is you aren't wasting money developing film of walls and the floor. And how proud he will be to have print outs of the pics he takes that are good?

I think Stacy went with Digital for Chloe because a big part of what she liked to do was see what she took a picture of on the screen. I know during the last few months I was watching her, she would constantly ask to "see Chloe" meaning she wanted me to take pictures of her and then let her look at the screen.

I got Tessa one last summer for $20 at WalMart. It is not high quality at all, but she loves taking pictures and this way I don't have to develop film all the time to get shots of the same thing 15 times!

I don't think you're crazy at all!

We bought Darien a $20.00 digital camera last year for Christmas (he was 3) since he was always trying to use mine. It takes really low grade pictures, but he thinks it's great having his own camera.
