I usually go out and I did even when I was married. He never wanted to go. This year, I am staying home and I like to see some cushion in my checkbook for once which I will have. When Alisha was little we use to make it a family time, and they had things in the city for families to do.Now it is whatever.

I used to go out- o rhave people over ... since kids have come into our world -I would rather be home safe as a family, or sleeping!

I do like to have people over earlier in the night for appetizers though (with the intent they go home at bed time!)

I have always stayed home. No point in adding to the crazies on the roads

When Alisha was smaller we use to do things as a family and do events that the city was having. She got older and I went out. Now it is her turn to go out, like tonight she is at Rebels for bands playing and lock down at Midnight. We will see if she makes it.

We have family time, this year we got in two DVD's (the Fantastic Four and Sahara) after we watched the fantastic four we went out on the deck (yes, it is finished, we finished it this morning, just in time) and talked about the year and what we want to achieve as a family for 2006 then we had some snacks while we watched Sahara then 10 minutes later it was midnight so we all went out side and watched the fireworks and then we went to bed, real party animals we are

We used to go to my FIL's every year, but since the girls have been born, they party without us. They have a bunch of kids there, but I'm not bringing MY babies to a party where there is drinking. I'm not talking about a little sip of champagne at midnight, I'm talking about people being drunk. It's not for us anymore. Also, I would never take the girls on the roads on New Years Eve. Too much drinking and driving.
We stay home. Tonight Gary and I kissed at midnight, then made a mad dash to the Twins (who were sleeping) to see which one of us was going to kiss them first. He won with Emily and he let me win with PJ. It sounds pretty lame now, but we thought it was funny.

Sounds like a nice time Heather.

Heather that is so smart and not lame at all...

We for the first time ever in the 14 years of marriage went out with the kids.

It was to the next town over like 7 miles away but they had a pool with slide and fun things in the water for the kids. The pool was only up to treys neck but really fun. Then pizza and soda and popcorn movies fooseball and pool and then they had the gym open with B-Ball courts. It was $4 a person and was nice to get out to do something with them for them to have fun. We will make this a yearly thing.

We usually go to dinner and then hang out with my best friend and her DH. Prior to kids and marriage, yes, I would go out and ring in the new year, but after marriage I became more low key. Before we had Emily, Kyle and I would go to dinner and usually hang out at home with friends.

We usually have friends and family over for New Years but this year we went to a friend's house. It was nice to have someone else host for a change. They only live a few minutes away and the kids had a blast It was a really nice time. Just wish Johnny wouldn't have drank so much but oh well.

I have had it with going out. I think for now on I am staying home and having just family time. We went to friends last night and by 10:30 I was ready for bed, the kids were super whiney and they had a house full of people I barley knew. So next year, I will be home bound!
