my mother in law is such a pain in the butt !!! everytime we ask her to watch her grandkids she always sends dh brother over ....which is fine the kids love him!!! why don't you take the "GRANDMA ROLE"!!! You want to be called grandma so freakinhg act like it....And on a differ note michael is having his party this weekend and awhile back she asked me what he wanted so i told hera razor scooter.... ok well since she is too lazy she is giving him money which is fine but he gets plenty of thsat from the "grandparents that aren't here"" you know what the killer is we where just talking about thats the other day on how since she is around she should bring presents and now you ARE GIVING HIM MONEY !!!!!!!!!! THIS IS HER ... Sorry i had to vent

I think you should beat some sense into her head since she obviously isn't using what God gave her! I can't believe she doesn't spend more time with her precious grandbabies!

I'm sad to hear she's like that. I know if my MIL were closer, she would love to spend time with dd.

It amazes me how some grandparents don't want to spend time with the grandkids. I just don't undetrstand it. Both my mom and MIL love spending time with the boys. Mom lives an hour away so don't see her as much - buit she jumps at every chance she gets to see them. And MIL only lives two minutes away, sees them at least once a week, and still bugs me that she doesn't see them enough.

I am so sorry Michelle. My Mom does not do the grandma role very good either and she is far away.
