What is your daily routine?

Hello everyone!

I was just wondering if you all would share a sample of your daily routine with the kiddos. (Either in this thread or PM it to me! ) I'm trying to establish a better one for Lauren and I'm looking for ideas that I can incorporate into her schedule to make her day better, more fun and more educational.

Thanks in advance.

And yes .. I'm aware that I'm anal! But life works great fr us on a schedule. The kids do SOOOOO much better when they know what to expect. Not that we stick STRAIGHT to it!!

we don't have a great routine.

usually in the morning, we get logan up, dress him right away and get him something to eat.

somedays the next step is daycare
others it is time to head downstairs to watch some morning tv, moms bbu time

we play it by ear on wether we need to go shopping or visiting in the afternoons, usually get lunch while we are out and about

home for nap time around 2

dinner for logan usually around 530

play time until 8 then bath milk, book and bed

no structure at all really

6:30 - Wake up Drew, get his breakfast, make sure he is dressed and out the door by 8AM
8AM - either back to bed or I get on the computer
8:30/9:00 - Ally gets up and immediately wants to be fed
10:00-12:00 - work or play with Ally, run errands, house stuff. Depends on what needs to be done.
12:00 lunch time
1:00 - errands or house stuff
3:00 - snack time, play with Ally
4:00 - Drew and Rick get home, snack for Drew
5:00-6:00 - dinner time
7:30 - bath for Ally
7:45 - bath for Drew
8:15 -bed for Ally
8:30 - bed for Drew, he reads until 9:00 then lights out
9:00 to whenever - ME time! LOL! Usually this is when i do things around the house

We have a fairly loose routine, but it works for us. All of the important things are at the same time everyday: meals, bathtime, bedtime

We don't have any real sched. either. There are certain things that happen at roughly the same time everyday like getting up, meals & snacks, bed time, etc. but all the time in between is spent playing or doing whatever one feels like.

Our Schedule:

~Twins up between 5 am and 7:30 am. If they get up between 5 and 6:30 am I go back to bed until Brianna gets up. If they get up between 7 and 7:30 I stay up.

~Brianna gets up between 8 and 9 am.
~Once Bri is up get her a drink and put some cartoons on.
~Make her breakfast.
~Change Bri into top and no training pants.
~Get Twins up at 9:20 am, for diaper change, clothing change.
~Feed Twins at 9:30 am.
~Start laundry.
~11:00 to 11:30 Decide what is for dinner and get it out to thaw.
~At noon to 12:30 pm start Bri's lunch.
~At 1:30 feed Twins
~After feeding change Twins diapers, and put Bri into training pants.
~Take Anthony to his crib, go downstairs and grab Kaitlyn, take her to her crib, and then last but not least take Bri up to her bed. Everybody is now in their beds (but not necessarily sleeping ) for their 2 hour naps.
~4 pm Everybody is up. Change Twins diapers and take training pants off Bri.
~Brianna is given a snack and drink.
~Start preparing dinner getting pots out and things chopped and in pots ready to go.
~5:30 pm Feed Twins and change their diapers
~Start dinner.
~Jay comes home at 6:00 pm
~Have dinner, relax a little.
~Brianna has bath at 8:00 pm.
~She has a bedtime snack at 8:30 pm.
~Bathe Twins at 8:30 pm or one of us does this at 8 pm when the other is with Brianna.
~She is put to bed at 9:00 pm
~Feed Twins at 9:00 pm
~They go to bed between 9 and 9:30 pm.
~We relax.

Of course this schedule is subject to change when Jay's shift is different from his normal 9 am to 5 pm shift.

Don't know if this helps.

This is Hayley's routine:

8am wake up (sometimes she sleeps in, yesterday she was up at 10!) we bring her into our bed and she has a cup of milk.
8:30am dressed, nappy, breakfast
then after breakfast she has a bit of a play, we go for a walk to the shops or to the park (if its not raining)
10am-10:30am morning tea.
then more play (or we go for a walk if we haven't been before)
12pm lunch
12:30pm nap (usually 2 hours, somedays she might sleep longer (2 and a half 3 hours), sometimes she sleeps only 1 hour)
2:30pm wakes and has a play
3pm afternoon tea
after she has afternoon tea we go for another walk
5:30pm-6pm dinner
7pm bath (not every night though)
7:30pm bed (she "reads" a book and plays in her cot and doesn't actually go to sleep 'til 8pm)

Her routine isn't set in stone, sometimes she has lunch AFTER her nap for example, but we try and stick to it as best we can. Also sometimes she naps later in the afternoon especially if we've been out, today her nap was from 1:30pm to 3pm then lunch, then dinner at 5:15pm. Hope this helps a little.

Wow I'm impressed with some of the routines. I had a pretty good routine going until we moved. Hopefully once we move into our house and get our stuff back from storage I can establish a routine again. I'll probably need one with the new baby coming and all.
