I've started looking for stuff for the kids. I'll start buying this weekend. I usually do a little "basket" of goodies for each child. I want to send Kirstie-Raie some flowers and Chase something .. maybe a bouquet of cookies to school. And I'm not sure what to get Stan! Maybe a date night ... kid free

I am not ready, I still have one Christmas tree up, I always wait till after New Year's to take all the Christmas decor down, but I put Valentine's Day stuff up right away. But for the kids and dh I have no clue.

Ready? Heck, I'm not ready for tomorrow! LOL!

Actually, I have a few little toys put away for Ally and the girls already. Drew will probably get some kind of game, as will Logan and Chris. All in a basket with a few candies. Don't do too much since it is just after Xmas and Easter is a pretty big one for us.

I'll have to think of something special for Rick! If all we do is actually have sex, he will be a happy camper. He gets it so infrequently!

I don't know what I am going to do yet, but I think I am going to back to "dating" mode and do something I did when we first got together. Our first Valentines' day together I got angel food cake and cut into heart shapes, cut strawberries and put on top, dipped some strawberries in chocolate, and had champage. Did it picnic style on the floor. So I will probably do that again. I usually make some sort of decorations and put up in the living room, but I think this year I will do in the bedroom. And put a ton of tea candles all around. Maybe even buy a maternity lingerie outfit and give DH some nookie. I want to bring back the romance.

No, first we have Emily's birthday (January 11) and then we'll get on with the Valentine's stuff.

yeh Jennifer that is a great idea

Jennifer, that is a wonderful idea. Too bad Rick doesn't like strawberries or I would "borrow" your idea! LOL! But maybe I can just do a simple candlelight dinner. Wouldn't have to be fancy and as long as it is just the 2 of us......... Something to think about.

Every year I make a fancy dinner for the family including flowers, candles, the works! Of course I buy everyone cards and a little box of candy as well.
Not sure what I am going to get for Johnny though. His bday is this month too so I will hafta think of something good.

No!

We dont' normally do anything elaborate.

I think I'm just gonna bake DH a cake. Maybe we'll go to dinner or something.

For Jonathan, Probably a card and some lollipops. We found some really good Valentine lollipops last year. I bought tons of them after Valentine's day last year and he really enjoyed them. Hopefully they'll have the same thing this year.

I have started thinking a little bit about Valentines. We got a restaurant gift card for Christmas, but we haven't used it yet. So I guess we will go out to eat and leave Elizabeth with the inlaws.

I thought on Valentines Day that Elizabeth could help me make cookies or cupcakes...whichever she wants. We will probably make Valentine cards for the family.
