My good sleeper is gone...

What happened?? Justin used to be soooo good about sleeping. Watched his little movie and then asleep. But the last couple of weeks, have been horrible. He comes downstairs 2 and 3 times, knocking on our door (at least he is polite). We take him back upstairs, lay him down, tell him to go night night and stay asleep. He tells me ok, but 2 minutes later, knock knock knock. After the 3rd time last night, DH takes him upstairs, is up there a few minutes and comes back down. Says I took care of it, he is just about asleep. There it is... thump thump thump down the stairs, knock on the door. So Dh opens the door and Justin starts bawling. DH picks him up and turns around and deposits him in our bed, saying there must be something wrong, he never does this. Justin immediately falls asleep. Then DH says before you go to sleep, take him back upstairs. Which I did. At 4:00 this morning, he is back. Put him in our bed and back to sleep. Needless to say he is completely grumpy and tired this morning.

The only thing that has changed in his room is that we put the bunk beds back together. Justin is on the bottom. I don't know if it could be that, maybe making his bed area a little darker. We leave the hallway light on, but it still is darker. That is the ONLY change we have made. I was thinking of getting some sort of light to put in his area and see if that helps any.

I feel your pain. Do little boys like those glow worm dolls? Then he could control his light.

Grace that is a good idea. We do have the little flashlights, one with a tiger that growls when he flips open his lid. I was thinking of those little globe like lights that stick up and you push to turn on, but that might be too much light.

Good luck.
Kyler's never been a good "alone" sleeper. Either one of us are in his bed... or he will wake up and crawl into ours.

What frustrates me is that he has always slept so well. So for it to all of a sudden be different is a hard change for us.
