Parties at restaurants?

Do you know of any resturants that will allow you to bring in your own cake and have parties there? Something other than Chuck-E-Cheese... I'm looking for a place (other than our house) that we can have something for Jonathan. The people we want to invited all live at least 30-45 minutes away from us and probably wouldn't drive over for the party. And I want him to have someone there for his party.

I know they do here at Burger King. All the kids seem to have their parties at BK or DQ. I would tell you to ask Karen, but she's gone for the next few days.

McDonalds also. Is there a play zone type place? They usually have that kind of party.

I would think just about any of the fast food type places that have a play area do that. But around here, that still adds up to about $5-10 per kid depending on where you go.

Most family-style places will let you bring a cake in. Chili's, TGIFridays, places like that. I'd call first to make sure it's okay.

What about Bob Evans? Okay, I know. I'm the one who loves Bob Evans.

We are having Emily's party at McDonald's. It's $65 for 10 kids and they each get their choice of Happy Meal and a goody bag. McDonald's provides all the paper products, balloons, cake, and ice cream. They will section off a group of tables in the Playland area for two hours. They provide a hostess to gather up the kids and take their orders for Happy Meals and she will get them together for the cake, too.

For Gavin's 4th bday I went to Chic Filet. It was kids night and they had the cow dressed up and balloons and crafts plus $.99 kids meals. I brought my own cake and presents. They also have a play area.

Here the only choices are BK and the Bowling Alley. I think they provide paper products but you have to bring your own cake.

We don't have anything in Middletown that has a play place. And neither does Hamilton, which is where the kids we'd be inviting would be from. I was thinking about the Chick-Fil-A in West Chester, which is in between. But they're closed on Sunday, which is when I kind of wanted to do it. They have a play place there, so it wouldbe good for the kids. But I don't think they do parties, per se. They would let us do a cake, I'm sure, but it's a small store, so they don't have a way to section it off or anything. And by the time I buy for four kids and ten adults, I'm running into a lot of Hmmmm.... I may call them anyway, though.

How about having the party at a park? Most have shelters you can rent for free (may require a deposit that you'll get back if nothing is damaged and everything is cleaned up afterwards) and most have a grill you can cook hot dogs & hamburgers on and the kids can play on the playground. I know you can bring your own cake there!
