Materials:

Coloring page
Scissors (for mom)
Washable Elmer's Glue
Construction paper
colored pencils, paints, markers, ribbons rubber stamps, buttons, glitter, crayons, etc

Instructions:

Print out coloring page that best represents the gift your child recieved, something your child just likes or something that reminds you of the giver.

Print out.

Cut out around the edges to make a nice picture for the center of the card.

Child decorates coloring page with crayons, paints, markers, rubber stamps etc. (mine used paints.)

Allow to dry if necessary.

Glue decorated coloring page to construction paper.

Child decorates card with glitter, buttons, seeds, etc. Or you can stop here with younger children that are not old enough to use glue.

Allow to dry.

Write message on card.

Send to Grandma.

My dd made several of these today and they turned out pretty nice. It's a nice gift for grandparents which they can keep for as long as they like. Also, if you can't think of anything to say for gifts you also recieved, it's a great way to say thanks without having to think of how to say how much you loved the puce sweater that was 12 sizes too large. Great for kids who are not old enough to write.

Thanks! After raking my brain, I came up with this idea this morning for Kate. She loves them. I'm going to have some trouble giving them away.
