Here is the last few years what we have one thought that might give someone else some ideas.

Her birthday is Jan 22 so I am behind because of being sick I just can not think to plan something awesome. I have made a very big deal with my children Birthdays because when I was divorced and a single mom Christmas was difficult for me to do any thing great so I focused on B-days and it is getting more and more difficult to plan original things. That was before Carissa but still her Birthday being in winter is not as fun as summer birthays. She has heard her older sister say that for years. Hers is Jan 24th.

Last year we took her closest friends and went to cabin 18in snow over night stayed for the weekend it was great. We went shopping did crafts, sled riding, walking in the snow, built snow men etc.

Year before that rented party room and pool at holiday inn and had pool party all but sand even set up drink shop food like you see on the beach in the movies. Made fruit smoothies etc all day then 15 spent the night at hotel

Before that tea party complete with dresses for each girl shoes, jewelry, hats make up and hair stylists complete with glamor pictures then they had tea, finger sandwiches and petifors

We have had where her and her friends are the adults for the evening and mom, dad and older brother and sister had to wait on them hand and foot that was a lot of fun we were maids, butlers and chauffeurs.

Any ideas???

Has she suggested anything? At her age, I would just ask her what she would enjoy doing.

I was going to suggest the same thing.. What would SHE like to do. It's her party, and her birthday.

What about an ice skating party or something.

A formal ball? I thought 12 year old girls liked sleep overs with loud music adults hate, staying up late all night talking about boys and eating tons of food. That's what I liked to do when I was 12.
