I pick Brandon up from daycare yesterday, get him from the class he is in a great mood, laughing and running around. We grab Justin and walk out the door. And all of a sudden, he changed. He wanted a slushy, I said no, so he cried. Then he wanted skittles, I said no, and he cried some more. Then he wanted McDonalds for dinner. I said no. He screamed and kicked the seat all the way home. Get in the door, and every little thing sent him over the edge. All the way up until he finally fell asleep. He kept telling me his room was nasty and he didn't want to sleep in there, then he said he was scared. So I told him after Justin falls asleep, you can come down and sleep with us. That seemed to pacify him. Well this morning he gets up, and comes down and says he is sad because he fell asleep and didn't get to sleep with me. So meltdown all morning, until I finally just left him in the classroom.

I hate days like this!!!!

Whining is the hardest thing for me to deal with too. I can take anything- but whining. And for us it comes out of no where too... but I have found it happens when 1- he is hungry and irritable, 2- sick, or 3 - tired... I try to tell him I know its hard to be good all the time and when I get that way I am cranky and maybe whine too- but using words will help us understand what we can do for him. He tells me when this happens that he doesnt know WHY he is acting that way- which is when I realize that it is one of the 3 reasons above...

but its hard - I know!
