I came across the website for the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services today and they have a link where you can check the inspection results of your local daycare facilities. I love it. Sadly I have to move Haley from her awesome daycare in Coppell because I can no longer afford it. It's such a great place that I am having a REALLY hard time finding somewhere I like just as much for a lower rate. I was just about to fill out the paperwork for a place right down the street from us, but now I see that they've had numerous violations (one including an incident in which a child was slapped on the hand!!!!). So that place is definitely out. I'm sure other states have the same thing, but here is the one for Texas: DFPS Daycare Inspections

That's really interesting. I just checked out a couple of places I used to work.
