Exersaucers? Worth it for 9 month olds?

Are they any good for my 9 month old twins? I was thinking about getting some at the consignment shop, so they aren't like the $50 ones at babiesrus(too pricey for me). I just wanted to know if anyone had them and liked them or not? Any good kinds over the other?

I don't really trust walkers, just because I have 2 babies, only 2 hands, and 2 eyes to watch them with. I can't quite do the whole"focus on one baby with one eye and the other with the other eye" trick.

My son loved his. I mean LOVED it. He would sit in it as long as he could fit in it. Probably well up past 2 years old. We actually saw one in a resale shop recently, and he tried to crawl in it and play with it.

Get them. They're safe and my son LOVED his too. Oce he was able to pull up he still used it to stand next to and play with. The ones without all the extra electronic gadgets are great--you can hook small toys to them.

My son loved his too and Abby is right, find an older one that doesn't have all the extra hoopla attached to it. A few little things is fine but it was great having lots of tray room for cheerios and toys.

Lauren loved hers too... I used it alot for things like when I was in the shower or changing out laundry downstairs.. we have three stories and I didnt want a walker with the stairs..
I ended up just buying it new and then selling it at a garage sale for about half of what i paid ~ I couldnt find one at a consignment shop.. I agree - get a tray and a few toys but not a lot....
With the twins, Your going to get alot of wear out of it - might be worth buying one new should it break or something go wrong you can take it back...
either way they are worth it.. imo

Oh - and it was so nice to be able to put it on the back deck for her during the spring/summer too!

I just searched Ebay - - There are some with no bids starting at $5 - with around $15-$20 for shipping - -

See... I'm the opposite.
I mean - both of my kids LOVED them. However... They were out of them buy 10-11 months old. Delaney could crawl out of it by then and Kyler was walking by 12 months and didn't want to be confined in one past that.

Are you a member of freecycle?
I've gotten a few saucers on there for free. If you really wanted to get them one (or two) I would see if you could get one off that. Or one really cheap. I wouldn't spend alot of money on it if they are 9 months old already. JMO

I'm with Shari on this. Kate loved it but she was just about walking at 10 mo. and Lyssa wasn't too fond of it.

I would check with freecycle or get one cheap ( but good) at a good will or something like that.

Logan loved his. and way past a year he was still pulling himself up on it
if you can get a good deal i say go for it!

Christian didn't like being contained in his once he learned to crawl. By 9 months he didn't want anything to do with it.

YES! Emily's exersaucer was one of our best and most worthwhile purchases!

Yep, very worth it. Especially if you can get a good deal.

Kiera is 8 1/2 months old and she loved hers when she was a little younger but hasn't wanted to be in it for over a month now. I don't think I would buy it. Kiera has a walker to(we have a safety gate for the stairs), and she doesn't like that now either.
