Need Valentine treat ideas for a class...

We got “mail” in Jonathan’s backpack yesterday. They’re having a Love/Friendship party at School on Valentine’s Day. They have 20 kids and 3 teachers. They sent home a list of the names of all of the kids. Food is not allowed because they have so many special needs kids and kids with serious allergies. The majority of these kids come from low-income families or bad environments and don’t have much. They would probably like just about anything. I would like to do something nice for the teachers, too. So, what can I do, other than send cards that doesn’t involve food or cost a fortune??? I need ideas for hte teachers, too.

I think These would be cute for teachers and Jonathan could help with the painting.

As for the kids you could get the valentines that you are supposed to stick a sucker through and stick in a pencil instead? Or maybe make your own construction paper hearts with pencil arrows through them.
Kids are a lot harder without incorporating candy.

We got little heart necklace/bracelets for the girls and matchbox cars for the boys and little stuffed animals (all less than $1 each) but Lyssa only has 11 in class.

I was thinking that I might check out the Dollar Tree. One year I got $1 Christmas Beanie things for all the kids at Debbie's. If they have a Valentine thing, I could do that, too.
