What's up with this?

Lately after I put Nicole to bed, she gets out of bed, piles up all her stuffed animals, puts her pillow on top, and falls asleep like that. Why is she doing this? Even when I move her back to her bed, she'll fall back asleep there but a couple hours later she's back on the floor! I know she's not falling out, because she's taking her pillow and blanket with her.

Is she maybe playing before she goes to sleep? If so, maybe that is where she ended up playing so she just fell asleep there, since she knows this maybe she brings her pillow and blanket down so she know she will be comfortable. Brianna plays before she goes to sleep but she will get back into bed before she falls asleep. It is hard to say why little kids do what they do.

yeah. I'd say she's waking up and playing. Ya know...putting her babies to sleep and then she's so tired she's passing out herself.
hmm...if it's not that. Maybe her bed is uncomfy. Either way, she's going to sleep right? I say just move her after. she'll eventually fall asleep in her own bed. OR, you could get a baby monitor and set it up and the minute you hear her get up, go make her get back in bed.

How about moving the stuffed animals to her bed? Maybe she just likes the company?

ok, so now after reading your myspace it's making more sense. I think she's just wanting to sleep with her stuffies so she's laying down with them. Then she's falling asleep. Have you tried putting all of them in bed with her?

They've gone to bed with her... Last night Daniel piled them ALL on, I wish I'd gotten a picture! All we could see is little baby face... And she slept for quite a while longer than normal! He did that at 10, at 12 she was still in bed, but at about 2:30 her and all her stuffies were back on the floor. Maybe I should try taking most of them, except for a couple of the most loved, out of her room at night? It's so cold here, I don't want her asleep on the floor, ya know?

ooh that might be a good idea. Or maybe get her a space heater fror her room at night and putting it up high where she can't touch it. That would at least warm up her room enough so that it won't be too big of a deal.
But yeah, I say tonight try and take out all but like 3. Then see how she does. I wouldn't let her see you do it though, because if she does then she's gonna flip. Good Luck Meg, you are gonna need it. lol

If she was getting too cold she'd probably crawl back into bed or stop doing it. It's something she'll probably grow out of. If she's sleeping through the night I wouldn't worry about it too much if it were me.

I agree maybe take out all but three. I know Brianna gets up and puts her extra blanket over her stuffed animals after she has laid all of them on the floor to "sleep", plus she has also brought all of them into bed with her too. Good luck tonight. If that doesn't work, I agree with Mel, it doesn't matter much if she is sleeping through the night, it is something she will probably grow out of. Either move her back to bed after she is asleep or put an extra blanket over her.

good luck taking away the stuffies, i hope she isn't around when you do it either

sounds like a good solution though

Have you taken pictures? It'll be a fond memory when she is older. I would just keep trying to put them on her bed. Maybe she'll start sleeping longer and longer.

Maybe she just finds the floor comfortable?
