Questions about selling stuff on Ebay

I want to start selling some things on Ebay, but I have a few questions first.
Some of these may seem stupid, so please bear with me.

I have bought tons of stuff on Ebay, so when I start to sell, should I use the same user name or ID or whatever it's called or should I create a new one for selling?

How do you know how much to charge for shipping? Is there a way to estimate it or some calculator you can use?

What else do I need to know???? It's early here, I have jet lag, and I can't think of all that I wanted to ask.

Some people have two ID's and I recommend it only if you don't want anybody seeing (as a seller) what you buy. But other than that, just use the other one

How do you know how much to charge for shipping? Is there a way to estimate it or some calculator you can use? Depends on how you are going to ship. You can do a flat rate, or they can calculate it by weight and area being shipped to. That is the easiest way .. that is an option you select when listing the auction. I would buy a postage scale and start out that way! Go to usps.com and order some free priority boxes to get you started too.

There are tons of ladies here that can help you!!! My best advise it to just jump right in and start listing .. do 2 - 5 auctions and ask ladies here for help on what to do and not to do with those auctions .. the more you do, the better you'll get

I do a flat shipping rate of $4 for 1st class, You can also offer priority which I think is $4.25 now. I have to supply the envelopes and shipping materials, so I incorporate that in. The calculate shipping sometimes gives crazy amounts and people will email you instead of figuring it out anyway. I have sold way more stuff since I started my listings at .99 but sometimes you have to bite the bullet when it doesn't go any higher. Most of my stuff wnet higher than what I originally asked for it. Take clear pictures, and be very descriptive in your descriptions. Good luck!

When I have been looking at things to buy...I notice the seller will use every word they can like they might use Gymboree Mod Zebra size 4T 4 or if shipping is free they will describe the item then put 4 free shipping...so if you look for things in like a size 4 then that will come up.

Yeah be very descriptive in your title - also I learned from Liz, don't use commas or periods just put spaces...

Girl 4T Gymboree Mad About Plaid Dress (if new add NWT, if excellant condition add EUC) if fits add season. Some people just search by spring or summer etc.
