I know exactly what you mean, Liz. My family is the same way. When I was in the military, they complained constantly how I was "getting a free ride off of their tax dollars." 
I like my friend, but she doesn't think things like this through. You know sweetie, you send your kids to tax funded public schools, you drive down tax paid for public roads, you eat food made safe because of tax funded regulations, etc... but you don't want to pay taxes. You're right Liz, she should move to Mongolia or heck, just give up everything and live homeless here (the homeless don't really pay a lot of taxes) and see how much she likes it.
