Does your child's school offer free summer programs?

Gosh, I don't know why we didn't get this packet last year unless our school didn't offer it but my boys brought home packets for 6 weeks of FREE SUMMER PROGRAMS!! There is all kinds of neat classes you get to choose from for each week and although the boys aren't toooooo excited about it, I sure am! Usually I love the laziness of summer but it is pretty much a positive that I will be getting a job soon and this will help out soooo much with daycare for them!
So does your child's school offer free summer programs as well?

Oh they have all kinds of really fun classes to take! Each class is a week long.
Here are a few listed without the descriptions:
Down in the Dirt and mud
Welcome to the world of chocolate
Let's go on a Safari
reading, writing, sharing
Race to the moon
Blast from the past
Fairy Tale Theater
they go on and on! There are also computer classes to build your own website and a digital photography class and the boys are excited about those. In some of the classes they get to burn their own CD (for the blast from the past which is all different music over the decades) and the photo class they will use learn photoshop type skills. Gosh, I would love to take some of these classes! I still can't believe that they are free! They offer them for preschoolers too but since the goverment doesn't sponser their classes the tuition is $50 a week.

Oh wow! I've never heard of public schools doing that either. Do you have to provide transportation?

Nope! There is a list of designated bus stops and you just find the one closest to you! There is one right at the top of our subdivision which is only 2 blocks up!! The boys will be able to walk!!!
