Age groups for Easter Egg hunts?

What would be good way to break up the ages for an Easter Egg Hunt? You don't want the little kids getting trampled by the bigger ones. And you want to be fair to everybody and let them get plenty of time.

Any suggestions?

up to 4 or 5 I would say could be a group.

6-10 probably another good group, or maybe 12.

then older then 12 together.

What ages are you working with and how many hunts do you want to have?

At our church we always had the 3 and under hunt that could be parent assisted, the 4 - 6 year olds, 7 - 11, and the 12 and ups.

All the kids hunt together with us .. we do it timed by age though .. the little ones go first for a few minutes .. then the next age group .. then the next .. and so on

Maybe 5 and under and 6 and over.
