Has anyone seen this show?? It is on digital cable - Kids On Demand - and it is Ryan (and one of our's) favorite shows!!!

It work's out GREAT because we feel Ryan has been watching too much TV since Aidan has been born, and now that we are living out of 2 rooms - we KNOW the TV will be on alot...

but this show is SO educational!!! I noticed that its from 1997 - I wish I could fiugre out a way to burn DVD's for this and bring them to daycare - Ryan loves them and he has learned SOO much!

(It's almost like the Electric Company or 3-2-1 Contact from when we were kids... or at least when I wasif anyone has seen these)

This is a blurb I found online about it:
Want to learn more about dinosaurs? Do you want to know what animals are incredible architects? Find these answers and more on Backyard Safari.

Backyard Safari is a science and natural history series designed to encourage children to step out as scientists and explore the natural world. Produced in association with The American Museum of Natural History in New York, Backyard Safari teams live action host Cecelia Arana with lovable, animated Crinkleroot, from the beloved series of children?s nature books by Jim Arnosky. A mix of live action experts and animated magical characters makes scientific discovery accessible and fun while encouraging kids to explore the natural wonders they encounter every day. The series empowers young children as it educates them about a variety of topics including babies, birds, butterflies, clouds, color, dinner, dinosaurs, homes, paper, rocks and minerals, trees, water and more.

I haven't watched that. I'll have to DVR it and see if Jonathan will watch it.

BackYard Safari

Dina, I hear ya.. I found this program when my son was three. 2003 He's six now.

I have tried everything to get copies of this Show. there is something called itTV.

And It AIRs In New York City. If anyone has a relative that Lives in New york city
maybe they can tape it for you. ........As for me I'm out of luck.

Crinkleroot Is the most amazing character & Cecelia Arana ( the co Star)
kind of reminds me of the girl from the big comfy couch. Just not a clown.
It's got all of the elements of a great childrens program.

Great stuff !

P.S. I did find it to buy a couple of years ago 12 VCR tapes for $ 520. Offered by one of those companies that sells directly to schools.
A little out of my league. But worth every penny.
