I go to church every Sunday. (I'm supposed to be leaving for church right now )

Yes, Mike is in the shower right now. We leave at 10:30 for 11 am service. We should be leaving at 9 for Sunday school first too but lately all three of us have been sleeping in.

Yeah but I have been bad this week and don't feel up to it. I should though
We go on Wed. nights and Sundays at 11am.

DH takes Darien to Sunday School since he has to go early to set up for service. (He runs the audio/ visual) There is no Sunday school for Jonas and Leah, only nursery so I take them with me when I go to church. I am supposed to leave at 9:50 A.M. so I can be at the church by 10:10 A.M. for praise team practice. I made it to church at 10:30 this morning, because I was on the computer too long!

We go Sunday morning at 10 (kids have Sunday school while we have church 10-11:30), Sunday night(6-7), and Wednesday night(7-8).

This is the first time since we got married that DH isn't holding an office or working for a church. With him working nights, we don't make it to every service like we used to. We always go to Sunday AM, because he or his trio is usually singing. But with his sleep schedule and work, we miss evenings a lot. It is so far away that it's too much for me to drive all the way by myself if I'm just gonna be in the nursery with my own child. We don't have a really big kids program, so usually during the night services, Jonathan is the only kid under 10, so I end up in the nursery with him. So, a lot of Wednesdays, especially, DH will go and I'll stay home with him.

I have to agree with you Dina. I am less motivated to go to services (anything beyond Sunday morning we usually don't have a nursery) were I know I will be in the nursery anyway.

I agree also. I used to enjoy Wed. and Sun. evenings also but since Zach was born I don't get to Wed.'s as much b/c Mike gets home at 6:30 and service is at 7. Sunday evenings are at 6:30 and we don't even get out of the am service until 1 pm. We usually stop at my inlaws ont he way home and then head to the grocery store. By that time it's time to head back to church and Zach hasn't really done "anything" for fun. By the time service is over and we're home it's bath and bedtime.

I realize it's all excuses and we should be there for all services. I"ll be more convicted to go when Zach can attend classes (age 4).

I attended sunday school as a child (my parents liked to sleep in on sunday mornings ) until I was about 7 (I got my bible for perfect attendence)

But other than funerals and a couple of weddings I've only been one other time.

I wanted to see what a church service that wasn't a funeral looked like (I was 19 and had lost 3 friend and a fiance in car accidents in less than 2 years

I havent been to church in years. I think the last time I was there was when Connor was baptised.

No, we do not have any certain religion. I would like to get Ryan involved in something, but we need to find something we agree with before we bring Ryan into things.

We have mass Sundays at 10 am. I go to mass on Thursday mornings too. Brittany usually does prayer requests and it makes me really proud.
We go on Sundays 99% of the time. We will be finding a different church after we move though.
yep we sure do. we went yesterday for the first time since Destiny was born. she actually did very well. I enjoy going.
Yes, we go on Sunday mornings at 10:30. We also have our home fellowship group meeting on Friday nights.
I don't go regularly. I haven't actually for quite a while. Some of it has to do with the move and the branch of my own church being so far away.
Yeah- I've missed a lot lately because of my back and pregnancy.
Yes we go Sunday mornings to the 10:30 service, and I, Rach, and Issac go Wed night for Missionettes.
I don't go as often as I should (maybe once a month) but I do pray most nights.

Lizzie, you're a heathen.

We go and we're Catholic. Well, the kids and I are. Billy goes with us every week and was fine with raising the kids Catholic and getting married in church. He just never was interested in converting (he's Baptist). It's been relatively easy with him, thank God.

i used to go to sunday school and awanas as a kid but nothing as an adult besides weddings and funerals
post #22 of 30
Nope, as long as he agreed to raise the kids Catholic, they had no problem with it. And we also did the premarriage counseling, but everybody had to, not just the ones marrying non Catholics.

Re: Do you go to church?

Yes we do! Church is a big part of our life and I wouldn't want it any different. We go twice on Sunday and on Wednesday. We also have started having a special prayer time on Friday nights that we try to go to. We also catch youth meetings or revivals if we have the time.

Re: Do you go to church?

We all go on Sunday mornings and Aaron goes to Awana on Friday nights.

Re: Do you go to church?

I'm with Liz - no organized religion. Ally goes to church every Sunday with my MIL and Drew sometimes attends. Rick and I both agree that it just isn't for us, altho we have made sure the kids are being raised to know God.

Re: Do you go to church?

Yes - we go every Sunday. When Kev is out of town for the weekend I try to take the girls on Sat evening so we can sleep in on Sunday am. (when he is home one of us works Sat pm)

Re: Do you go to church?

I haven't been into a church since a friend's mother's Ordination. I can't remember when that was exactly but we only went because we wanted to support her mother.

We don't go to church and I don't have plans to. When I have children they can belong to any postive religion (positive meaning not a harmful religion) they wish and I will support them 100% even if I don't share the same beliefs.

Re: Do you go to church?

I think it's important for the whole family to go, not just the kids. The kids will see this discrepancy as they get older.

Re: Do you go to church?

i always went to church growing up, so going to church is important to me. however, im not gungho bout church as much as my parents are, but i agree with you. church should be a family thing. plus its kinda weird when u and ur kids go but then, lets say, ur husband stays home.
my hubby isnt a church-go-er or believes in any religion, but he'll go with us when we go (if he's home).

Re: Do you go to church?

I go as often as possible. I work on Sunday evenings and my shift starts during the 2nd hour of my church meeting block, so I have to leave early. I usually have the kids go onto their primary classes and then a friend or Rowland will bring them home for me.
