Does your child's school do a spring program?
Haley came home the other day singing a song that sounded familiar but I couldn't place it. I asked her what it was and she said "Big Bad John". I said "as in the Johny Cash song?" and of course she had no idea what I was talking about but I said a few lines and she said that was the one. Her one line in the song is " And as smoke and gas smelched out of that mine, everybody knew it was the end of the line for Big John."
I think that is absolutely hysterical. I asked her what other songs they were singing and she said Coal miner's Daughter (loretta lynn), Eerie Canal, and Cotton Fields. I for once can't wait to go to a school program. Can you imagine how cute a bunch of 8 - 10 years old will be singing Johny Cash and Loretta Lynn?
