Ok. I know I haven’t been home in a while, but my mom’s going a little nuts.
I’m sitting here at work in the middle of doing something and I get this IM that says “My baby is coming home in two days. Hoorah!” Ummm… Ok. My boss’ boss and the VP are standing right here.
Two days ago, she sent a FAX (to my work) of an invitation she mailed out to all the relatives telling them I’m coming home and she wants to invite them to lunch on Sunday. Then she calls and asked if I got the fax. I know she’s excited, but this isn’t exactly the kind of thing they want coming over the fax machine.
I get an email that says “My little girl is coming home and I’m cleaning the house for her today.”
Ummm… I’m not planning on being there the whole entire time. I do plan to go other places. And I have asked repeatedly that they not go to any major trouble to get things ready for me. If there's anything we need, I'll get it after I get there.
