Napping question

Emily has been getting really cranky late in the day. Too late for a nap, but I let her take one anyway because if I don't, she and I both have a bad evening.
I have tried getting her to take a nap earlier in the day, but she won't. HELP!

Well I've always heard people talk about making them stay up later, or wake up earlier, but that just never worked for me. Cody went through about a year long phase where he would fall asleep about 4pm and wake up around 8pm. It was a rough time, but I couldn't handle him being all cranky for that same time period!
