I KNOW its hard on the kids when there are 2 separate rules for kids to follow. It happened to me when I was growing up.....and its happening to one of the kids on my bus now.

"A" was telling me how she has one set of rules to follow at her moms, and another for at her dads. HEr dad is WAY MORE strict than her mom is. One example is with her cell. At ehr dads she is not allowed on it after 10pm...at her moms she is.....her dad flipped because he caught her on it after 10 one night...she had forgotten the rule....now he is going to go over her bill to see how manytimes she has gone over....she is afraid he will take it away since she is always on it at her moms.

It is stressful. Not only when the rules don't follow from one house to another but when punishments don't stand from one house to another. For a while Colin was using the line that "mommy will let me when I get home" whenever we wouldn't give him candy or a snack because he didn't eat dinner. Shane just recently started trying to correct the situation though so hopefully that will get better for them.

Understand both those, and that is why we need to set down and have rules apply to both houses.
