Went to the grand opening of the new Save-A-Lot store close to my house. I’m not a big fan of Save-A-lot, because the ones around here aren't known for being clean and well-kept. This is the nicest one I’ve ever been in, and everything looked clean and well-organized. All the meat and produce was really fresh! I Spent $63 last night and got:
25 pounds of ground beef (99 cents a pound)
5 huge pork chops (99 cents a pound)
4 big pork steaks (99 cents a pound)
2 pork roasts (about 3-4 pounds each @ 99 cents a pound)
Two big boxes of cereal ($1.79 each)
4 12-pks. of Mt. Dew/Diet Dr. Pepper (4/$10)
1 bottle of Kraft BBQ sauce (79 cents)
1 can tuna (49 cents)
2 frozen pizzas for Jonathan (99 cents each)
tortillas (79 cents a package)
cheese doodles (99 cents each)
Fritos (99 cents each)
2 big bottles of flavored water (49 cents each)
Cheese crackers (99 cents each)
Graham Crackers (99 cents each)
And some other stuff I can’t remember.
The prices are good for another week, so I’m gonna go back again after pay day, I think! We are always looking for decent deals on meat, and we could stock up the freezer SO cheap while we have the money to do it.
