checking in?

Does your spouse call you during the day to see what you are doing? Or to have you do things for them?

My dad does this to my mom and it drives her crazy. He'll call her 3-4 times a day to see what she is doing or if she'll do things for him.

Before Jason got laid off, he would phone on his morning break, at lunch, on his afternoon break and when he was heading home. It never bothered me as it was nice to talk to him for a few mins and he usually asked if he could do anything for me on his way home.

My hubby calls about 3 times a day (sometimes more) just to see what I am up to.

Steve never checks in with me unless he has something important to tell me. I don't think they like people on cell phones at the dealership unless they are on break or something.

Daniel will call occasionally from work, at the most once a day. It's usually just a "Hey this happened" or "How are you feeling" type thing.

dh pretty much never phones home from work.

me on the other hand i usually phone a few times when i know he is home and i am working

Mike always calls me on his lunch break, and occasionally on his morning break. I sometimes get a text message or two a day as well, but it's usually just to tell me he loves me.

we usually call each other during the day i call him when i get up or if im going to town to see if he needs anything or he calls me if he needs me to do something or to see if i want him to pick up something for me on his way home

dh calls home on his 1st break and on his lunch break... he likes to check in and make sure that everything's okay.. i actually like that he does it!

When Mike worked days he would usually call me 1 or 2 times a day. Sometimes just to say hi and other times to remind me of something or ask me to do something.

I used to do it to Kev but it bugs the crap out of him cause hes always so busy so I only call if its gettign close to dinner and i am planning something in particular. Otherwise I have givin up.

Kev only calls me if he needs something from me.

Yes, Grant just rung a few moments ago for me to make a doctors appointment for him, I said to him "why can't I just give you the phone number and you ring them" (he hurt his leg playing sport over the weekend and has to use crutches) it gets annoying but at least he rings I suppose.

Yep. He calls just to see what I am doing or to ask me to do things, like make him a drs appt or order a prescription refill. I have to constantly remind him I am not his secretary! If he can call me to ask me to do it, he could have just as easily called them directly! MEN
