I love this song!

My Great Aunt Grace used to play You Can't be True, Dear for us all the time on her piano when I was growing up. It was one her favorites along with Buttermilk Sky and anything by Gene Autry.

Here are the lyrics - http://lyricsplayground.com/alpha/so...truedear.shtml

But these are not the complete lyrics. I know there is at least one more verse that goes:

Love to be real
Is a love to be shared
Now, I know that
you never cared.

Does anyone know where I can find the complete lyrics? I wonder if I could find the lyrics to Buttermilk Sky (I think it was recorded by Bing Crosby).

It kind of makes me sad that my Aunt's marriage was such that this particular song (you can't be true dear) really spoke to her in a deep, emotional way.

If you're interested here's a short clip of Buttermilk Sky by Hoagie Carmicheal. I thought it was Bing Crosby, but I guess I was wrong. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...=glance&n=5174
