At what age do they start shaving?

I noticed today that Jessi has really hairy legs. I was thinking back and I remember that I started shaving my legs when I was 10 or 11. What age do you foresee your girls shaving (or if they've already started, what age were they???)

Gosh darn she's growing up so fast!

I remember getting an electric razor probably around 14. I was supposed to wait for my mom to show me how, but I went ahead and did it anyway. I would today you would have to let them start early, because I am sure the teasing would be awful.

I did it with out my mom noticing.

I think it was highschool.

If you can convince them to wait it wont be as bad.

I didn't until I was 17, but I was fair-haired and Momma didn't shave then at all.

I Know Angela's complained a few times about her 'hairy' legs. I offered to help her use a razor and she said no, she didn't want to cut herself. I haven't heard her complain since.

I was 10, but I'm Mexican and my hair is really dark. I was VERY self concious about it. I simply asked my mom to show me how to do it, I think she was pretty surprised.

She was 11, right before she started 6th grade. I didn't want her to feel like I was pushing her to do something she might not be ready for, so I waited till she said she wanted a razor.

Anna wanted to around 10....she had really hairly legs and it bothered her. Her mom wouldn't let her. Last year she begged and her mom let her use veet(not that it worked well), and then she finally just started to shave them on her own at a friends. I would have let her as soon as it was obvious it bothered her. I bought her a pack of razors for here. I figure the worst they can do is cut themselves and they will only do that once. If that is the concern I would go ahead and buy an electric razor. My advice...if it makes her self conscience let her go for it.....if she doesn't care yet then don't stress about it either.

the veet is a good way to start ( it does great on my legs, but I have to use it every few days). I think I started around 13. But I have really light colored hair. LOVE being a redhead . I say when she asks about it, or if kids start teasing her about it.
