We pulled a tick off of Hannah this afternoon and she now has a HUGE red blotch all the way around 1/2 her leg? Really red really swollen.
Wondered what it looked like it kinda looks like she got bit by a spider but we pulled a tick off of there

I would call the dr tomorrow and have her looked at.

That sounds like what Kylers looked like.
However, the doctor (and the on call doctor) told me that the rash takes between 3-21 days to show up.

Now... in the little bit of searching and research I did last night - it seem like you CAN get a rash or some swelling where the tick actually attaches itself. THAT, however, does NOT mean lyme disease.

What the hell is it with the ticks this year???

I hope she's ok... but I would take her to the doctor tomorrow if it's still swollen.

Oh... do you know what the on-call doctor also told me today? He said that the tick has to be attached to the host for 24 hours before the tick can start infecting the host.
Something about it takes a tick 24 hours to firmly attach itself. And it doesn't start "sucking the blood and sharing salvia" until after 24 hours. SO... if you find a tick and remove it within that time limit, even if the tick has Lyme Disease, she'll be fine.

I'm not sure how good this is going to come out.
I took this with my cell phone and then I had to shrink it to fit it on bbu.
so... it's probably not going to come out that great.
However, this is a picture of Kyler's shoulder and the rash he got.

That is also what Logan''s ear looked liked but it was days after the tick was found by his dad. The ped said it looked more like a spider bite because of the time frame and it was below were Ed said the tick was found. They did put him on a strong antibiotic for one round because they were worried about infection in the cartiledge in the ear.

Good luck at the doctors.

I thought Kylers was a spider bite too. I had no idea he was going to say anything else.
