Competitive Health?

Last night, a mosquito bit me - nothing new but I said OUCH I just got bit... instantly Ryans response is ' No you didn't' I was like, I am not going to argue with you I did. He argued and told me that no it just was sitting on me. Once he finally saw I got bit, he was like - 'Ok you did get bit ... but I have WAY more bites and boo boos than you '... and all of the sudden it was a competition ...

I woke up again with Pink eye the yesterday ... he was like I HAVE Pink Eye too ...

When we found out Aidan had asthma... he was like ' I have breathing problems too, I need medicine too' ... I actually explained to him that he had a hole in his heart when he was little and Aidan has a breathing problem - and then he was ok ... because he didnt have to compete since HE had a problem too...

Normal or not normal?? Arent other kids more empathetic ?? Maybe it is because for so long, he has had to deal with me having somanyhealth problems, and now AIdan is coming into the picture having problems and needing more attention??

Oh, my son came home from his fathers house several weeks ago limping. I phoned and asked what happened he said nothing that his girlfriend injured her ankle in front of Jimmy and ever since he was limping. I inspected further to find absolutly nothing and a couple days later he stopped and never mentioned anything to do with pain. Yes competitive!

Yeah Jacob is the same way... if someone hurts themselves and gets a "boo-boo" then he does too
