I don't have the energy to write a long story (and trust me...it was LONG to me
), but I wanted to let you ladies know what happened with Heather
I went in to L&D Tuesday around 8pm thinking I *might* have a leak. I took my time and made sure Dh had dinner adn things were straightened because I figured we would be sent home...I was wrong. I had a small (so small they checked twice) leak in my bag of waters so they opted to "augment" my labor to speed it up and get her out. So I got to learn the joys of Pitocin....
after the real contraction set in I opted to go ahead and get an epidural because I just could not handle it. I am thankful I did because they left me hooked up to the stuff for close to 15 hours before decided that I stalled out at 9cm an baby would not be coming out that way. This was close to 1200 Wed then they told me I would have to get a c section. I was apprehensive but figured if it ended the whole prcess I was all about it by now. Unfortunately there were other ladies with the same type of issue (having an unplanned C section) so I had to wait in line as it were...
By the time I got to the OR I had had to have them mess with the epidural twice because it was wearing off...they made me REALLY numb for the surgery so I was awake for the start and I got to see my little girl after she was all cleaned...but I started to feel discomfort after that while they were closing so they basiclly knocked me out. It was worth the "trouble", we have a beautiful baby girl to play with now....but the road to recovery is slow

I am glad you are recovering even if it is slow. Glad you have your little girl to play with now
