Do you make your dd wear shorts under her dresses?


I do. There are too many sick people in the world and I don't want them getting a free looksee at my baby. The other day at the park, I saw a girl who was about 8 in an extremely short dress that barely covered her bottom. She was climbing all over the jungle gym and showing the world her panties. Dh and I agreed that our dd will be wearing shorts under her dresses for a long time to come.

DD still has diaper covers with most dresses, so I haven't given it much thought.

YES! Even at 10 my daughter plays like a boy and can't seem to keep her panties covered.

Now that Lys is older I am tryign to find "bloomers" for her. I have taken it upon myself to make them for her.

I remember when I was younger I would wear "bike shorts" under my dresses.

oo i remember that too karen, i use to wear bikers too. sometimes they use to be so long so i would fold them up and my mom would yell at me for that!

if i had a girl my answer would be yes

they make so many outfits now that have the shorts built right in i think it is great!

Kiera still has diaper covers for most dresses, but I think shorts are a good idea if they will be playing somwhere and have a dress on. I doubt I would send my daughter to a playground in a dress though when she gets older.

When Brittany was in Kindergarten and the wore a uniform, the teacher suggested that the girls wear shorts under their uniform so the little boys didn't tease them.

Any time brittany is in a dress and sits wrong (you know wide open) I tell her to sit like Princess Diaries and then she gets the hint.

Other than that she does wear mostly skorts and that has the built in bottoms.
