I have to say I LOVED this daycare when Brandon and Justin went here. And we were only out of there for about 8 weeks or so. Can things have changed that much or is it just the newness of having my infant being watched that is causing me concern?
I swear, Ryan has only been going for 2 weeks (minus 2 days of being sick) and every day it is something else. I have to write a schedule out for him to eat and nap. Why am I doing this if no one is following it?? I come early so when I get there, all the kids are in one room (like 8 total) with the director, so I drop the boys there. Well, I have a bag for Ryan with diapers, food, etc. I come to pick him up one day and they say, you forgot to leave diapers and food for him. WHAT? So I go looking all over the van and I know I brought them in. I go to the room we were in that morning, and there is his bag, sitting on the floor.
Then I get asked for wipes. I bring them in. That afternoon, they say we still need wipes. I gave the wipes to the Director, she remembers that, but no one can find them. I had him on a 4 hour bottle schedule, but Ms. Ruby (the infant watcher) said he is hungry before the 4 hours is up. Ok, that is a possibility. So I rewrite the schedule, bottles every 3 hours, naps in between, baby food for breakfast and lunch. I get in yesterday, look at his paperwork. They fed him at 7:30, then 11:40 (4 hrs 10 min) then 1:25 (not even 2 hours??), gave him juice at 3:50 and they were about to give him a bottle at 4:45. First off, why did they wait over 4 hours the first time? Why only 2 hours for 2nd bottle? Why give him juice when the paper says juice is to be used to mix cereal. He doesn't drink juice yet, he is only 4 months old.
So I have to go find the director and ask what else I need to do, because I am really confused at this point. He is not getting his naps in, but I am sure that is because of the noise and other kids. He wants to see what is going on. He isn't cranky or anything and it hasn't changed his sleep pattern at home, but I just want the day to go smooth.
Is this just a trial and error thing until we get on a schedule with the school? I have never had to put an infant in daycare so I don't know what to expect. I have never had issues with the older two at all.
