For fruit! I started him out on veggies and for a little while that's all I would give him. He did well for two weeks when i fed him two veggies and one fruit. All of the sudden this passed week he wouldn't eat veggies or mac n beef or anything but fruit! Should I just give him fruit or should I just force the veggies on him? I'm not sure what to do. Mostly he prefers his bottle over everything else.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. I think babies go through phases of what they like and what they don't like. Is he getting any table food? It was harder than heck to get my dd to eat baby food after table food.

No. I'm too scared to feed him table food because I don't know what he can eat and can't. I don't want him to choke plus I enjoy buying the baby food at the stores. It must be a phase. I hope he decides what he likes soon. Babies change so much!

Oh goodness YES! It's a phase... Lauren did it too. Her thing was that she LOVED sweet potatoes and squash. Then it was broccoli and cheese. She HATED any of the meat/meat combo meals. If you really want to try to get some veggies in him, try a few spoons of fruit, then one of veggies, then go back to fruit. I don't know if it will work for your little guy, but we did that with my nephew and it worked some.
It's ok.... as long as he eats and you keep offering a variety of foods, he should be just fine. They LOVE little food jags!
Stinkers!

Kiera never really liked baby food. She was on all table food long before her 1st birthday. Maybe he doesn't like it anymore? He's old enough to try table food if you want to try. Just avoid grapes, nuts, popcorn, and things that he could choke on. Try Spaghetti(and similar dishes), Chicken, fish, beef, in very small pieces. Noodles, and green beans are a good to. Just cut everything really small and let him feed himself(less work for you).

I agree with Tara. I would start introducing table foods.
Delaney boycotted baby food around 7 months old. I panicked. I didn't know what to do. But, she would eat almost anything that was "real" food.
Good luck.

Delaney loved oatmeal. Doesn't know... but it was one of her first real breakfast's.
Hmmm... what else? Dry toast. Waffles. Pancakes. (Obviously cut up real small.

I bet he's not liking the baby food anymore...he's way ready for table food, just give him small pieces!
Breads, gravy, soft fruits and veggies...go for it!

Since you seem to like the little jars, why not grab a couple jars of the gerber graduates....I'd start with the carrots or peas. They are really smushy and it would kill two birds with one stone....he get veggies and you start an easy first table food. For starting table foods you can feed him most foods....they say avoid any choke-able food(yes I know that is not a word...lol) and peanut butter, shellfish and strawberries because of allergies. Make sure what-ever you give him is either soft and smashed up(mashed potatoes, yogurt, oatmeal, smushed spagetti...etc) or cut tiny and very mushy and soft till he gets the hang of "chewing"(gumming up the food and swollowing things with texture). The only meats I started with were ground beef crumbled really small, bits of lunch meat ham and turkey in really tiny pieces and hotdog(yes I know that is a choke-able) cut in pieces about the size of baby sweet peas without the skin on....Mine always gagged on chicken and such because it isn't smushy. The gerber graduate meat sticks were a favorite too.
